After having been closed for several months of restoration and repairs, the Albert Lowe Museum has now reopened.

In addition to replacing the roof, and working to restore the museum’s rose garden, we’ve refinished the floors on the main level, repainted parts of the interior and purchased some new display cases.

We’re also readying for exhibit a new collection of Victorian-era antiques donated to the museum by Iva Lowe Scholtka prior to her passing. A long-time museum supporter, Iva gifted us with some unique and interesting pieces, which we can’t wait to put on display.

When you visit the museum, be sure to stop in at the gift shop, where you can purchase prints of select Alton Lowe paintings, museum notecards, books (including Those Who Stayed) and the 2019 Green Turtle Cay Calendar. Bring your Christmas shopping list — I’m betting you can find something for virtually everyone on it. And, since all gift shop sales benefit the museum’s restoration fund, you’ll also be helping to maintain and upgrade the museum.
