Forum Rules & Guidelines
Welcome to the Abaco Forum! To ensure that this community offers a positive experience for all members, we ask that you read and abide by the following rules and guidelines:
- The Abaco Forum is a fun, friendly, and supportive community centered around our shared love of Abaco, Bahamas. Though we encourage an open dialogue, members are expected to remain courteous and respectful at all times. Rudeness, harassment, offensive language, or attacks on community members will not be tolerated. If you wouldn’t say it to your boss or your mother, please don’t say it here.
- While administrators regularly monitor the Forum, creating a healthy, thriving community takes all of us. If you believe a post violates any of the rules or guidelines listed here, please get in touch. Rest assured that your report will remain confidential.
- Remember that anything you post on the Forum is visible to the general public. Please use discretion when sharing personal information, both on the Forum itself and in private messages with other members.
- We take the privacy of our members very seriously. Do not post personal or private information about other Forum members without their knowledge and approval. Doing so may result in your immediate removal from the group.
- You are accountable for your actions as a Forum member. Posts and replies are subject to libel, copyright, antitrust and other laws. Abaco Forum administration is not responsible for consequences you experience resulting from anything you’ve posted on our site.
- If you own an Abaco-related business, you’re more than welcome to mention/promote it in your introductory post in the “Meet Our Members” thread. While we ask that you not create new posts that are strictly promotional in nature, feel free to respond to existing posts/questions/queries related to your business. (For example, if you own a golf cart rental company, and a member posts asking about where to rent a golf cart, please feel free to respond with your business name and details, and to provide any information you feel might be helpful.)
- Forum administrators reserve the right to, at any time and without notice, delete any post or comment that in our judgement violates these guidelines. Repeat violators will be banned.
