My name is Ann. I was on the old forum as "gulfgirl" and I am so happy this forum is back- thank you so much, Amanda and Tom! I first visited the Abacos in 1991 and fell in love with Hopetown. Subsequently, I have stayed on GTC, GGC, Lubber's, Elbow and Treasure with a few nights in MHH for 11 trips total over the years. Last month we (hubby and I ) had a wonderful week on GTC then I spent another week with a girlfriend in Treasure- it was absolutely wonderful and so nice to be back in Abaco. We have traveled to many wonderful islands but my heart is in the out islands of the Bahamas so we will continue to come back. In the out islands, we have also traveled to the Exumas (GE and Staniel Cay), Eleuthera, Spanish Wells, Harbour Island, Long Island, San Salvador and Bimini - some more than once but it is always the Abacos that calls me back!

One of the Wells kids; our parents wintered across March Harbour ferries on Dickies Cay. Some good Maine friends bought the Albury "Honeymoon House" and fixed it to its rights, docks and all. Happy story
Hey everyone, so glad to see 'old friends' here on The Forum! Our family owned a cottage, Beach Walk, on Guana Cay until Dorian. Rick and I actually were on the island when it hit. What an experience that was. We've been back 3 times since and just this last time over New Years we decided to buy a place. To say we're excited is a bit of an understatement! It's a charming 2 bed 2 bath turquoise cottage with a white picket fence, called Margarita Daze. 350 feet to Grabbers and 850 feet to the beach! We're going over this next Tuesday for a month to get it ready to rent out for short term vacation rentals. We live in Florida now so we'll be going over a lot! Hope to see some of you over there!
