From March 12-14, Elbow Cay is set to come alive with music, art, and fashion during the inaugural Abaco Cultural Extravaganza.

The aim of this three-day event, which celebrates and showcases Bahamian talent and culture, is to raise funds for programs that give Abaco’s school children more opportunities to explore music, dance, creative writing and visual arts.
Event Highlights:
📅 Wednesday, March 12 at Hope Town Inn and Marina
Enjoy dinner and a special performance by Bahamian singer KB, plus student art exhibits, skits by Patrick J. Bethel High School students, and a vibrant Junkanoo rush.
📅 Thursday, March 13 at Firefly Resort
An elegant evening featuring dinner, a fashion show, and a jewelry auction—a unique way to support the cause by donating your unused jewelry. Another Junkanoo rush will cap off the night.
📅 Friday, March 14 at Sea Spray Resort
A lionfish derby during the day, followed by an evening performance by Bahamian artist Geno D.
This event is just the beginning, says organizer Bernadette Hall, who says there are plans for even more events to enrich local arts education. “We’ve brought in big Bahamian artists because we want to come out of the gate with a bang,” she says, “but in future events, we hope to have cultivated some of our own local performers to showcase.”
