Thanks to Cherokee Sound quilter and artisan Linda Lowe for today’s reader photo.

After Dorian, Linda says that Cherokee Sound experienced ongoing shortages of both water and power. And the pump for their well, which served as a backup to city water, is electric. To backup their backup, they installed an old-fashion pitcher pump. Now, they have access to water whether or not the electricity is on. And Linda enjoyed expressing her creativity painting the pump stand.
