Yikes! In my recent blog post about Bahamas-related blogs and websites, I overlooked several of the very best. What was I thinking? With apologies for the oversight, here are three more of my favourite online Bahamian resources.

Abaco Forum – One of the most complete online sources of information about Abaco and the Cays. The Forum provides mini guides to various Abaco destinations, a terrific list of Abaco-related links, trip reports, photos and videos from Abaco visitors and much more.
Mailboats Bahamas – For many decades, mailboats were the only mode of transportation, shipping and mail delivery to Bahamian islands such as Green Turtle Cay. Writer and historian Eric Wiberg has researched and cataloged the numerous mail and freight boats, including the Albertine Adoue, Priscilla, Stede Bonnet and Legacy, that have served the Bahamas from the 1800s to the present.

Eric’s blog, which includes photographs, interesting details about vessel histories and owners and first-hand accounts from crew members and passengers, provides a fascinating glimpse into the maritime history of the Bahamas.
Old Bahamas – If, like me, you’re a fan of Bahamian history and historic photographs, you need to know about this website.

With more than 2,300 historic images and postcards, it’s the most extensive online collection of historic Bahamian photographs I’ve come across. I notice that the site has begun to add historic video as well.
