With COVID-19 case numbers in the country continuing to decline, some Bahamian COVID-19 travel protocols have been relaxed.
According to a 3 March 2022 media release from the Bahamian Ministry of Tourism, the requirement for visitors to undergo a rapid antigen COVID-19 test on Day 5 of their stay in the Bahamas has now been eliminated.
The Day 5 testing requirement has also been dropped for Bahamian citizens and residents arriving home from abroad.
For visitors, your Travel Health Visa cost will still – at least for now — include a free rapid antigen test. Assuming your departure date is within 30 days of your arrival, you can use this test as your “return” test when departing the Bahamas.
All other Bahamian COVID-19 Travel Protocols remain in place for the time being.
