Welcome to the New Abaco Forum!
For nearly 20 years, the Abaco Forum has been a popular online meeting place for visitors, second homeowners and residents of Abaco, Bahamas.
The Forum was originally launched in August 2006 by a group of individuals who had previously administered an earlier Abaco message board. In mid-2023, the administrators of the Abaco Forum notified members that their web host – as well as the Abaco Forum – would be closing down.
Recognizing the importance of this resource to Abaco, we at Abaco Sun acquired the Forum name and URL and set about creating this new iteration of the Abaco Forum to ensure that this online community could continue.
Please note that although we’ve operated AbacoSun.com for a number of years, operating a message board like the Forum is completely new to us. We greatly appreciate your patience as we grow the site and work through the inevitable bugs and glitches.

How to Register
Anyone is welcome to lurk and read Forum posts. However, if you’d like to post questions or replies, you’ll need to register as a member. It’s free to do so, and we hope you’ll participate and add to the discussion. To register, click “Register” in the menu at the top of the page.
Once you’ve registered, you’ll receive a confirmation email. Click the button in the email and you’re a member. It’s that easy.
Unfortunately, since this site is not connected to either the previous Abaco Forum or the original Abaco Message Board, you’ll need to create a completely new account to register. Since user names are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, we can’t guarantee that your user name from previous iterations of the Forum will be available.
Please note that in the interest of spam prevention, each new member’s first post will be moderated. That is, it will need to be reviewed and approved by Forum administration before going live. We do our best to check and approve legitimate posts as soon as we can. If you have concerns about any of your posts, please get in touch.
