Though some of our young people have left Green Turtle Cay post-Dorian, many remain. And on Thursday evening, local residents took a few hours away from the ongoing recovery effort to stage a fun Halloween event for the town’s children.

About 50 kids, from toddlers to teens, donned costumes donated by members of the community. They enjoyed games, a costume parade, and of course, trick-or-treating. There was pizza as well as cookies, cupcakes and goodies baked by local residents, as well as lots of candy, donated by Key West Cares.

Thanks to Key West Cares and all the Green Turtle Cay residents who helped to ensure that Dorian didn’t deprive local kids of happy Halloween.
