One of my absolute favourite things about Green Turtle Cay is the way our community members rally around each other in times of need. And this Saturday, the community will come out to support one of my favourite GTC residents, Hubert Pinder, owner of Hubert’s Cuts ‘n Curls.

For several years now, Hubert has battled cancer. Within the next day or two, he’ll head to Nassau to begin his next round of treatments. To help with Hubert’s mounting medical bills, the community will hold a fundraising breakfast this Saturday, March 16th, beginning at 7:30 a.m. at the basketball court in town.
The menu will include Bahamian favourites such as fire engine (corned beef and grits), chicken souse and pork souse, as well as a selection of sweets and beverages. One hundred percent of the proceeds will be donated toward Hubert’s medical costs.
If you’re around on Saturday, please drop by, enjoy a traditional island breakfast and help this brave and wonderful man in his fight against cancer.
And if you’re not on the cay but wish to contribute, get in touch with me and I’ll let you know how you can help.
Hi we can’t be there but would like to contribute, please let me know how.
Hi, Phyllis. Thanks for your note. I’ve sent you an email with the mailing address to which contributions can be forwarded. Thanks so much for wanting to help – I know Hubert and his family will be grateful!
Amanda
