Forgive me for asking, but might this be Alton’s home, rather than the museum? I’ve been there once, and it reminds me of his living room. And I can’t remember any chandeliers in the museum. Perhaps I’m wrong,
Hi, Reggie. Thanks for your note. This room does look a little like Alton’s living room, but it’s definitely the museum on opening day, 1976. I’m not sure the chandeliers are still there, but virtually everything else in the photo still is. Some pieces have been moved to accommodate new additions to the collection.
