I’ve received numerous reader emails since Hurricane Dorian and by far, the most commonly asked questions are “How can I help Dorian victims?” (which I’ve answered HERE) and “What Abaco businesses are open?”
To keep everyone informed (and to help me keep track, since the list is growing daily!) I’m compiling a master list of open Abaco businesses, which I’ll share over the next few days here on the blog.
If you or someone you know has a business of any kind that’s up and running anywhere on Abaco or the Cays right now, please send me an email and I’d be happy to include it and give it a plug on the “What’s Open on Abaco” list.
At a minimum, I need to know:
- Your business name
- Business location
- Current operating hours
- A contact phone # or email address (or Whatsapp #) people can conact for more information.
Feel free to include directions, a brief description of your products/services, photographs, or any other info you think is important. Also if you’re operating on a cash-only basis, let me know, so I can pass along that information.

Hi Amanda! Man-O-War Hardware is up and running and we have fuel pumps now!! (Not at the dock, but you can fill your jugs) Also, Man-O-War Grocery is open as well as Hibiscus Cafe! Y’all come see us now, y’hear!!?
