I just realized something. My last post was number 1,499, which makes this the 1,500th post I’ve published since launching Little House by the Ferry back in 2013!

To date, my little blog has had more than 519,000 page views and just under 200,000 individual visitors. How cool is that?

Perhaps most interesting is the number of countries — 190! — from which readers have viewed the blog. The U.S., Bahamas and Canada make up the top 3, which isn’t a surprise. But I’ve also had readers from such far-flung locales as Djibouti, Cameroon and Turkmenistan!

In fact, the only countries from which I haven’t had at least one reader are: Greenland, Iran, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Botswana, Democratic Republic of Congo, Central African Republic, South Sudan, Western Sahara, Mauritania, Mali, Niger, Chad, Gabon, Republic of Congo, North Korea and Papua New Guinea.

So, if you find yourself in any of these countries, and you have Internet access and a free moment, please do me a favour and log on to this blog. I’m not going to rest until I’ve had at least one reader from every country on the planet.

Until then, huge, heartfelt thanks to everyone who’s visited Little House by the Ferry, read and commented on my ramblings, or contacted me with comments, questions or well wishes. Starting and maintaining this blog has been educational as well as entertaining, and I hope you enjoy reading it half as much as I enjoy writing it.

Of course, I’m always open to suggestions for future blog posts. If you’ve got news or an idea, please don’t hesitate to get in touch!

P.S. Speaking of entertaining, one of the strangest parts of blogging is the spam comments. Fortunately, WordPress does a great job of filtering them out so you don’t have to see them. But they’re set aside in a folder for me, and once in a while I go in and check them out. Here’s one of my favourites to date…

Businesses are erasing the boundaries between nations and as a fruit, communication compete with the indispensable part in expanding your reach as entrepreneur. Communication, in this be important, is the ability to convert between any lingua franca doublet there is and the transfiguration services bourgeon has made it steady easier. You valid have to coerce sure-fire the flock you trust your decipherment offers objective accommodation, which can be verified by checking the reviews of the special one.

Um… thanks…?

Congratulations on a great milestone. I have been a follower since day one. We spent 7 wonderful winters on our boat Jazzbrek at GTC and it became home for us and we consider our friends on the island to be family. We have returned several times and are always welcomed home very warmly. Please keep up the good work. thank you.
